Reality Scenario Defense Training For Front Desk Personnel, Office Managers and Secretaries/Receptionist takes these professions out of their comfort zones into actual situational awareness exercises, reality scenarios and simulation drills! This class is a very intensive, energetic and informative class. It allows Front Desk Personnel to practice what they’ve learned in the Front Desk Safety Defense Class. The purpose of this reality training class is to help front desk workers understand and acknowledge the importance of their role of being the “Eyes And Ears” of their establishment—being vigilant and proactive at the front desk. Those who manage or operate the front desk will physically engage in scenarios that will test their ability to think, fight and survive. By participating in the scenarios, front desk workers will gain insight of what it would be like if ever approached by an active aggressive attacker and why it is important to be prepared and have a plan of defense ready to help protect and defend him or herself as well as their co-workers in active situations.

This reality scenario training course will help front desk workers learn the following:

  • The importance of being alert and aware of their surroundings at all times.
  • How to use distress/covert codes at the front desk.
  • Recognize suspicious activities, people and behaviors.
  • Test critical thinking skills.
  • Spot certain red flags and/or threats.
  • Identify customers/co-workers pre-attack indicators.
  • How to avoid becoming a soft or weak target.
  • Understand Action versus Reaction.
  • Use their senses and voice commands properly.
  • The importance of using effective listening skills.
  • Learn several self-defense techniques.
  • Understand the importance of time, space, distance.
  • Avoid the information trap.
  • Understand the importance of Critical Commander Roles.
  • The use of unarmed non-lethal considerations for defense: Kubotan, Paracord Monkey’s Fist, Pepper Spray, TASER® etc…
  • How to use items that are available or around the front desk for protection or self-defense.
  • Understanding the importance of Tactical First Aid.
  • How to communicate with 911.
  • How to handle the aftermath of an incident and much more!
