Course Description:

BSSA Introduction To Firearms Safety Class will take you step by step through very basic information regarding pistols. Students will gradually work through several skill sets to ease any fears or nervousness when handling a firearm. Although this class is basic, it is very informative. You will not leave away uninformed or unprepared.

The goal at completion of this class is to instill helpful firearm knowledge, ease tensions, fears and nervousness of firearms and lastly, prepare students for the next step if they so desire to take a CPL/CCW class.

Who is this class for?
  • Those who are not yet ready for a CPL or CCW.
  • Individuals who have no experience with firearms.
  • Individuals who are nervous about handling and carrying a firearm.
  • Those with questions and concerns pertaining to firearms.
  • Those who would like to obtain more knowledge about firearms.
  • Men, Women and Seniors.
In this course you’ll learn how to do the following:
  • Six stages of awareness.
  • Various parts of a pistol.
  • How pistols work.
  • Proper Stances.
  • Appropriate grip.
  • How to properly load, unload and reload a firearm.
  • Safety information and rules on how to properly handle, carry and store a handgun.
  • State laws and regulations and much more!!

This course is divided into two parts. You’ll learn the basics of firearms in a classroom setting and also put into practice what you’ve learned in our Airsoft Training Range.

Things to bring to class:

  • A notebook for note taking.
  • Pen or pencil.
  • Safety Glasses.
  • An open mind.

If you are in need of purchasing safety glasses, there is an extra charge for this item. You will be able to view/select before entering your payment at checkout. Ear protection is not necessary for this class unless you have very sensitive ears.
