Course Description:

This class is a safety informational class for residential civilians that would like to learn the What, When, Why and How pertaining to TASERS. You will learn how to safely carry, store and employ a taser, learn the difference between Tasers/Stun Guns and explore important safety laws.

Who is this class for?
  • Civilians looking for non-lethal means of self-defense that may NOT be interested in possessing a firearm.
  • Those looking to improve their confidence and protection skills.
  • Absolute beginners to the arena of personal safety and situational awareness.
  • Individuals that would like to learn from an experienced and certified self-defense/firearms instructors.
  • Updates on Michigan laws that allow the use and sale of TASER\’s in this state.
In this course you’ll learn how to do the following:

  • Understand the importance of being a responsible TASER owner.
  • Proper stance for stability with a TASER.
  • Properly handling, grip and presentation of a TASER.
  • Discussion of the two civilian TASER Options.
  • Recognize the need for a safety plan.
  • Learning how to stop, breathe and focus.
  • Use your senses and vocal commands.

This class is very intensive, energetic and informative. You will not leave away uninformed or unprepared. Once you have successfully completed the course you will receive a Brick Street Safety Academy Completion Certificate.
