BSSA Red Zone Firearms Safety Course is a safety firearms course designed and developed by Brick Street Safety Academy. This class assists the District Court with individuals in need of proper training and knowledge concerning firearms.
Who is this class for?
-Those who are required or referred by the District Court to take this type of class.
-Individuals who have little to no experience with firearms.
-Individuals who would like to obtain a clear understanding of firearms rights, safety protocols, infractions, –fines, rules or laws.
-Those with firearms questions and concerns.
BSSA Red Zone Firearms Safety Class will take you step-by-step through very basic instructions on how to properly use, carry and store a firearm, demonstrate the importance of being conversant of firearms laws (Local, State and Federal) and the need to be familiar with personal gun rights as a firearms owner.
Last but not least, you’ll also interact in reality scenarios/simulations that will stimulate critical thinking and encourage responsible decision making and actions.
This course is divided into two parts. You’ll learn the basics of firearms in a classroom setting and also participate in hands on firearm safety training.

-The importance of being a safe and responsible firearms owner.
-Firearms Nomenclature. (Various parts of a handgun and what they do.)
-Firearms Stance, Grip and Trigger Discipline.
-Safety information and rules on how to properly handle, carry and store a handgun.
-Firearms State laws, Regulations, Infractions, Penalties/Fines.
-Legal/Illegal Firearms Possessions and so much more!
This class is intensive and informative. You will not leave away uninformed or unprepared.
The goal at completion of this class is to instill the importance of firearm safety and responsibility, firearm knowledge, awareness, prevent future felonious charges, infractions or incarceration from occurring.

Who is this class for?
This class is for individuals that have taken the Intro Level 1 Class and for those who have no desire of obtaining a (CPL) Concealed Pistol License. However, they would like to continue to learn more about safe-handling firearm use. This class is not for beginners! This class is an 8-hour NRA certified course. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules Brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Booklet, and Course Completion Certificate. NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law. Students should expect to shoot approximately 50 rounds of ammunition at the range.

Materials to bring with you to class:
Notebook for taking notes
Ear protection and Eye protection for use at the range. These things can also be purchased at our Academy.
Personal Firearm. If you do not have a firearm, you can rent a firearm to use at the range.
If bringing your own personal firearm, also bring 50-rounds of ammunition for live fire practice at the range.
If renting a firearm, the instructor will advise you of what ammo to purchase.
If you are in need of renting a firearm and ammunition there are extra charges for these items. You will be able to view/select before entering your payment.
