How does my financial support help?

Your financial support will help us greatly! For over eleven-years, our Academy has helped many individuals as well as businesses to prepare and train for their personal safety. We have created a space for people to learn, train and practice how to better protect themselves and their families. We have seen many students throughout the years become better informed and safer individuals. Each time that a student has a revelation or an epiphany in a class or during a scenario training, it signals to us that we may have saved a life. Without a doubt, your financial support will truly help us to continue to provide the best learning environment, classes and training experiences for our students.

Unfortunately, most people are often misled that when they hear the word “Academy” it must mean that Academy is primarily funded by grants or the Government. Our Academy is not funded by federal dollars. We are simply a family-owned business working diligently to make a difference to help inform and educate everyday people to live safer lives. Thus, the reason why we are seeking Safety Supporters to help us continue our mission to teach safety classes.

Therefore, with our latest move to another facility, if you decide to become a BSSA Safety Supporter, your financial support will help our Academy immensely with the following:

• Purchase up-to-date/advanced equipment for our classes such as: computers, training software, audio systems, speakers etc.
• Purchase useful training aids/tools for our scenario classes, firearm classes and self-defense classes.
• Purchase safety equipment like an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for our classroom.
• Replace carbon monoxide units, air-purifier system, furnishings etc.
• Replace signage, new mats and purchase a new entry door.
• Your financial support can help us build our online classes and produce educational webinars/podcasts.

As you can see, your contribution will be VERY helpful and appreciated! As we receive donations we will post how funds are used and what things were purchased, replaced or renovated.
