Course Description:

Who is this class for?

-Those who are not yet ready for a CPL or CCW.

-Individuals who have no experience with firearms.

-Individuals who are nervous about handling and carrying a firearm.

-Those with questions and concerns.

-Those who would like to obtain additional knowledge about firearms.

-Men, Women and Seniors.

-BSSA Introduction To Firearms Safety Class will take you step by step through very basic information regarding firearms. Students will gradually work through several skill sets to ease any fears or nervousness handling a firearm.

-This course is divided into two parts. You’ll learn the basics of firearms in a classroom setting and also participate in hands on firearm safety training.

In this course you’ll learn the following:

-Various parts of a handgun and what they do.

-How handguns work.

-Proper Stance.

-Appropriate grip.

-Range simulation exercises.

-Safety information and rules on how to properly handle, carry and store a handgun.

-Introduction to ammunition.

-How to load and unload.

-State laws and regulations.

-What to expect at a gun store or gun range.

-The process of buying a firearm.

The goal at completion of this class is to instill helpful firearm knowledge, ease tensions, fear and nervousness of firearms and lastly, prepare our students for the next step if they so desire to take our CPL/CCW class.

Once you have successfully completed the course you will receive a Brick Street Safety Academy Completion Certificate and Informational Materials.
