I just finished the STOP course and had a fantastic time. Everyone needs to learn about situational awareness and how this helps us in our everyday lives. Throw in basic self defense and specific skills to help in desperate situations and learn that there is hope that you can survive when confronted with danger. The course leaders, Amy, Jeff and their daughters were incredibly encouraging and worked with each participant individually to ensure we all learned the necessary skills. I had a newly broken foot when the class started so I was unsure if I could participate but there was never a problem. Everyone needs to take this class.

After being a bit hesitant about handling guns, I never thought I would go and get my CPL. I am so glad I ended up giving firearms training another try, and taking a not only the CPL class, but the intro class as well. I would HIGHLY recommend classes at Brick Street Safety Academy! I signed my dad up for the CPL class, and he enjoyed the classes so much that I signed myself up for the intro class and the CPL class. I even got my co-worker to sign up with me. The experience was fantastic, and you really felt like a part of the Brick Street family.
A co-worker of mine recommended Jeffrey Washington and Brick Street, and the rest is history. For anyone who is looking for a very informative, hands-on, firearm training, this is the place to go.

If anyone was considering taking a personal safety class or wanting to get a concealed pistol license, I would recommend Brick Street Safety Academy and Jeffrey Washington.
I consider Jeff to be a good friend. He was the liaison officer from the Flint Police Department for some years while I was employed at the 68th District Court (closed at the end of 2016 by the State of Michigan). I would trust Jeff Washington with my life.

The brick street family is a wonderful down to earth that offers more than you would think not only will they form you about the ins ant outs about handling a firearm they have classes that teach you about to protect you and your family that go beyond using a firearm there countless things I can say about brick street it was the best learning experience for me and my number one place I recommend new gun owners to attend.

I have taken two classes at Brick Street Safety Academy, I have learned how to properly handle a gun,the parts of the gun and if I have a permit to carry there are certain rules that must be followed if I encounter a police officer.
