Class Info:

BSSA (SDFR) Safety Defense For Realtors Class is a four-hour class that teaches real estate agents how to effectively protect themselves from becoming an easy target, how to safely show properties to strangers, how to cautiously promote themselves with media/marketing materials and how to fight for their lives if ever in danger.

This class focuses on 80% mental defense as well as 20% physical protection since most attacks occur when the victim is unprepared or unsuspecting of suspicious behavior, threats or danger. Skills acquired from this class will greatly benefit realtors on the job.

This class is also very informative and energetic. You will not leave away uninformed or unprepared. There are also simulation scenarios applied in this class. They are designed to help create awareness and the concept of time—‘Action versus Reaction’. Realtors will recognize and understand how fast things can escalate and the need to be prepared for anything that may occur on the job and in their personal lives.

In this course you’ll learn the following:

• The importance of situational awareness, being aware and alert.

• Knowing the characteristics of a bad guy.

• How to trust your protective instincts.

• How to use your voice, body language and eye contact effectively.

• How to safely promote your profile.

• Dispel safety myths.

• Explore personal safety tips for open house showings, the office and telephone conversations.

• Learn how to properly execute basic self-defense moves.

• How to use protection devices and everyday items to help protect yourself and much more!

When you register for the Safety Defense For Realtors Class you’ll receive a 64-page safety resource student manual. This manual has essential safety tips to help avoid certain threats or potential dangerous situations.

After successfully completing the course you will receive a Brick Street Safety Academy Completion Certificate and also Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s).
