The NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home course is an 8-hour NRA certified course. In the state of Michigan, it is state law to take an eight-hour CPL/CCW course.

In this class students will learn basic defensive shooting skill-sets, techniques, safety protocols, strategies for home defense, important firearm laws and much more!

Things included in the tuition:

-Lesson manual and materials. Students will receive student packets that contain a NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules handout and the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Booklet.

-NRA Course Completion Certificate.

-Information for acquiring a CPL license form.

Materials to bring with you to class:

Notebook for taking notes.

Ear protection and Eye protection for use at the range. These things can also be purchased at our Academy.

Personal Firearm. If you do not have a firearm, you can rent a firearm to use at the range.

If bringing your own personal firearm, also bring 50-rounds of ammunition for live fire practice at the range.

If renting a firearm, the instructor will advise you of what ammo to purchase.

If you are in need of renting a firearm and ammunition there are extra charges for these items. You will be able to view/select before entering your payment.

Concealed Pistol License (CPL) Refresher For Renewal

Length of Course: 3-Hours
Total Cost: $69.00 | Half Deposit: $34.50
Skill Level: Must Have A Valid CPL/CCW.

THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR NEW CPL HOLDERS OR BEGINNERS! This is a refresher course for individuals looking for up-to-date firearms training that is required by the State of Michigan before renewing their CPL. If you’re looking for a regular CPL class click here to check for class availability.

In this class, students will review firearm safety protocols, basic defensive shooting skill-sets and go over the most recent information pertaining to firearm laws. Students should expect to shoot approximately 50-rounds of ammunition at the range.

Lastly, students will have a record on file stating that they have received the necessary training if should the state request information or proof of renewal training.
