Course Description:

NOTE: Since 2012, residents of Michigan have had the ability to carry a Taser or Stun Gun for their personal safety needs. TASERS are legal to carry in 45 states. Carriers of a Taser in the state of Michigan must have a valid CPL/CCW permit to carry and/or purchase a Taser.

This class is for residential civilians that would like to learn the What, When, Why and How pertaining to TASERS. You will learn how to safely carry, store and employ a TASER, learn the difference between Tasers/Stun Guns and explore laws that pertain to the use and carry of Tasers.

• Civilians looking for non-lethal means of self-defense that may NOT be interested in possessing a firearm.

• Individuals that may be interested in adding a TASER to their personal protection devises.

• Those looking to improve their confidence and protection skills.

• Absolute beginners to the arena of personal safety and situational awareness.

• Individuals that would like to learn from an experienced and certified instructors.

• Updates on Michigan laws that allow the use and sale of TASER’s in this state.

In this course you’ll learn how to do the following:

• Understand the importance of being a responsible TASER owner.

• Discussion of the pro’s and con’s of concealed and open carry of your TASER.

• Proper stance for stability with a TASER.

• Properly handling, grip and presentation of a TASER.

• Discussion of the two civilian TASER Options.

• Learning how to stop, breathe and focus.

• Use of your senses and voice commands.

• Learn how to recognize suspicious activities, people and behaviors.

• Laws and rights concerning TASERS and much more!

Once you have successfully completed this course you will receive a Brick Street Safety Academy Class Completion Certificate. This certificate is NOT a certification certificate for security work etc.
